Performance
From the get-go, it’s already clear that Nissan offers a larger V8 engine at 5.6 liters and 400 horsepower in the Titan PRO-4X. This incredible pickup is also decked out in driving enhancements like an electronic locking rear differential, Bilstein off-road performance shocks, VVEL technology, and an independent double-wishbone front suspension combined with a multi-leaf rear suspension complete with a solid axle and stabilizer bar. All of these features are included to bring you a smooth and dynamic experience for every drive. Additionally, the power steering function is engine-speed-sensitive for greater adaptability on the road.
Toyota technically offers a bit more horsepower in the Tundra TRD Pro at 437, but there’s no denying that the engine is significantly smaller. This particular trim comes with an i-FORCE MAX 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6 Hybrid. Usually with hybrid builds, you’ll get noticeably more power. But as you can see, the Tundra TRD Pro isn’t that much better off. And on top of that, this Tundra (despite being a higher trim) doesn’t have as many driving enhancements. There’s an electronically-controlled locking rear differential and independent double-wishbone suspension, but that’s about it.

The seating situation in the Tundra TRD Pro may be heated and ventilated, but the driver and passenger chairs only have 8-way power adjustments which may find it a little more difficult to find that perfect angle. Both the Tundra and Titan come with 12 available speakers, but the Tundra comes with a JBL setup compared to the Titan’s Fender speakers which are a rare find.
Bottom Line
When you realize how similar the two pickups are, the deciding factor for you may be the price difference. The Titan PRO-4X starts at $57,370 while the Tundra TRD Pro starts at $70,920. When you consider that the Tundra is over $10k more, the Titan suddenly has much more value.
